First Aid for a Boeing Pen in the Eye

At work we have a en emergency response team and Charlie and I are both on the team. This means we get paged for medical issues and otherwise end up getting a lot of first aid training. This morning was one of those training sessions and we all got scenarios to "fix" each other up. Charlie and I lucked out and got some super special looking ones.

In case you need to know what to do if a coworker stabs a pen (and not just any pen a Boeing pen) in someone's eye, here is the proper first aid as I demonstrated on Charlie.

Subsequently, should I ever get a chemical burn to the face and eyes, please call Charlie who can very deftly administer this first aid and treat for shock to me.

I frequently threaten to stab my eye out with a pen or highlighter during long meetings. Does the pen actually have to say "Boeing" or can you still save me* if it is a Papermate brand pen from the Boeing supply room?

*Note: In this context the phrase "save me" should not be construed to have anything to do with the aforementioned stabbed eye but rather refers to your ability to get me out of the meeting.

we may in fact be able to get you out of the meeting. As official MERT members, we tend to at least be able to direct enough authority to get people stand back and move away. Perhaps, we can cause all others to exit a conference room. Give it a try. We can be reached at x4-4444.

This cracked me up - the pictures and ACQ's comments. This blog post already saved me (this morning anyway) from this IDR telecon! Thanks for the laugh.
